Wilson Medical Center is committed to delivering high-quality care close to home for the communities we serve. To do so, we regularly evaluate our scope of services to ensure that they are meeting the dynamic needs of our communities.
On September 7, we transitioned to a new radiology services provider, Raleigh Radiology Associates. Founded in 1950, Raleigh Radiology is a well-respected, regional leader of radiology services with a proven track record of clinical and operational excellence. We will ensure a seamless transition to our new providers for all of our patients and look forward to collaborating with Raleigh Radiology Associates to ensure the overall health and well-being of our communities.
“I am confident that with Raleigh Radiology, we will be able to build a highly collaborative environment in which we are able to continuously adapt to the dynamic needs of our community. Our top priority is delivering the best possible care to all our community members when they need it,” says Mark Holyoak, Chief Executive Officer at Wilson Medical Center.
Satish Mathan, MD, President of Raleigh Radiology Associates, says, “We are pleased to be able to partner with Wilson to offer excellence in radiology interpretations for this community. It further demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality, high-value care for our patients and referring physicians.”
This new partnership, which enhances oversight and coordination of our radiology services, will provide many benefits including: centralized and simplified scheduling, more efficient use of our facility’s resources, streamlined billing and collection methods, training and educational opportunities for staff, and expanded physician-provided coverage and services.
Wilson Medical Center’s Radiology Services department provides a wide range of imaging services including 3D mammography, computed tomography (CT) scan, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, PET scan, X-Ray, ultrasound and more. We recently completed a significant MRI and CT renovation project – upgrading to brand-new equipment designed with quality, efficiency, and the patient experience in mind. The new MRI and CT machines provide many benefits such as enhanced visualization, higher resolution imaging, faster scan times, more space and increased weight capacity.
