Wilson Medical Center Welcome Thomas Parrish, DO

Wilson Medical Center is pleased to welcome Thomas Parrish, D.O., to its medical staff. Dr. Parrish is a primary care sports medicine physician and joins Lawrence Yenni, M.D., John Wechter, M.D., Ryan Mitchell, M.D., and Christian Selby, PA-C, at Wilson Regional Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Parrish specializes in sports medicine, treatment of athletic injuries, injury prevention, sports-related concussions and joint injections.
Dr. Parrish received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. He completed his family medicine residency at UPMC Susquehanna Hospital in Williamsport, PA. He continued his professional training with a sports medicine fellowship at Allegheny Health Network – St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, PA.
After experiencing his own injuries in high school and college as well as covering the little league World Series in Williamsport, Dr. Parrish became interested in specializing in sports medicine.
“Once I learned more about the proactive side of the specialty with injury prevention in the young and older athlete, it seemed like a perfect fit for me,” said Dr. Parrish.
Dr. Parrish has a wide range of sports coverage experience ranging from Little League baseball, high school football, volleyball, men’s soccer and more. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Parrish enjoys golfing, application programming, cooking, and playing with his two mini dachshunds, Luna and Toby.
