Vicki Parks named Chief Operating Officer

Wilson Medical Center CEO Mark Holyoak is pleased to announce that Vicki Parks has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Duke LifePoint hospital, effective May 13, 2019.

“Vicki has the skills and expertise we need to help us fulfill our vision of making certain Wilson Medical Center is a place where patients choose to come for healthcare, where physicians want to practice, and where employees want to work,” Holyoak says. “I am impressed with her leadership style and her depth of knowledge and experience in operations. I know she will be a very effective member of our executive team.”

Parks has spent the last 18 years as an innovative leader in healthcare. The last six years she has been the Chief Financial Officer, Ethics and Compliance Officer and Chief Staffing Officer at Jackson Purchase Medical Center, a LifePoint facility in Mayfield, Kentucky. Her experience includes fiscal management (revenue growth/cost reductions), operational improvements, productivity enhancements, physician relations and information systems planning and implementations.

Parks is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Fellow with Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA) and is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Alabama Birmingham.

Parks has relocated to the area with her husband Brady. They have two sons, Matthew (25) and Michael (19) who both live in Kentucky. She was born and raised in Alabama and is passionate about Crimson Tide football. Parks enjoys running and has completed three half marathons.
