From door to departure, Emergency Department impresses patient

October 7, 2024

"I had fever and bone pain, so I told my daughter, 'Take me to the ER, something's wrong.'

I didn't think I could walk inside, but a security guard came to the car and said, 'I don't have a wheelchair available, but I can be your wheelchair. I can take you in.'

They made me comfortable. They stayed with me the whole time. They gave me whatever I needed and kept me informed -- that was the best part.

The doctor came in several times to talk to me. He told me, 'You're going to be fine,' and he shook my hand.

I've been to the ER many times, but that was the best visit ever. I felt cared for. They even called a few days later to check on me. It was just amazing. You don't hear about service like that. It was a really good experience."
