What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?
My two role models growing up were my grandmother and aunt who raised me. They both worked in healthcare and as a nurse. My grandmother passed away in 2002 but everyone who knew her loved her nurturing spirit and her will to always want to help others. My aunt had inherited the same traits as her mother of having such a big heart. I was inspired to be just like them, but after going to school for nursing I realized that wasn’t something that I had the desire to complete anymore. I wanted to stay involved in healthcare but be less hands on which still includes work that positively impacts individual lives and industry challenges. How long have you been employed?
I have been employed for a year and a half.
Have you always been in the same position?
No, before I moved back to North Carolina I worked as a Billing Specialist for a behavior health company in Missouri for almost three years. What are some of your interests outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to go shopping and experience different restaurants. What do you like most about working at WMC?
The people. Since I started working at WMC my coworkers have been supportive and available to lend a helping hand. Without the support of my team, I wouldn’t be able to successfully do my job. I have met some incredible people while working at WMC where I not just consider them as my coworkers, but as family!
