Whoolery named February Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Micaela Whoolery, RN, BSN, CDCES, Diabetes Educator. Micaela will soon celebrate 24 years of service at Wilson Medical Center.
When asked why Micaela loves her job, she said, “I became a nurse because I enjoy helping others. My favorite times are when I receive a call from a patient and they are excited to share their A1C is at target. Knowing I was able to enable them to self-manage their diabetes is such a blessing.”
Micaela lives in Nashville with her husband, 4 dogs, 2 horses and a cat. They have 3 children and 2 grandsons. Micaela is a board member for Pennies From Angels, which raises money for cancer patients and their families. She also facilitates the hospital’s Diabetes Support Group.
“Micaela demonstrates dedication and compassion in her work with diabetic patients. She is committed to patient care, finding resources and empowering patients with their treatment plans.”
