Parrish earns Employee of the Month honor

Congratulations to Donald Parrish, Plant Operations Maintenance Section Leader. This year, Donald celebrates 26 years of service at Wilson Medical Center.

When asked why Donald loves his job, he said, “I love working here because it is a joy to hear a patient in the room saying that everyone treated them well and made them feel better. That’s what we’re here for. The patients are No. 1.”

Donald lives in Lucama with his wife of 23 years, Gail. They enjoy spending time with their grandkids and children. Donald is a fanatic of the UNC Tar Heels basketball program. In his spare time he enjoys taking trips with his family and working out.

“Donald is one who is passionate about his work. He cares for the staff and community that he serves. He knows the hospital building, all the systems, and works hard to keep them operating at all hours of the day to help provide a great patient experience. He leads by example in the Plant Operations Department. Wilson Medical Center is so lucky to have his years of experience.”
