Wilson Physician Services is pleased to welcome Corrie Hansen, board-certified family nurse practitioner, to its team.

Hansen is practicing at Wilson Family Care located at 1700 Tarboro Street, Suite 100.

Hansen received her Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from East  Carolina University where she graduated with honors in the Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from ECU as well, where she also was a graduate of honors college and graduated Magna Cum Lade.  

Her previous nursing experience includes working as a charge nurse in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit at Duke University, where she worked for four years taking care of patients after heart and lung surgery.

Hansen specializes in primary care, chronic disease management, minor conditions and injuries, annual physicals, preventative health, women’s health and pediatrics ages two and up.

“I am looking forward to taking care of patients in the outpatient setting and being part of their primary care team in order to hopefully prevent them from needing major surgeries,” Hansen said.

Hansen enjoys doing Crossfit, baking and spending time at the pool or beach.
